ESPN to Air Several Post-Season MLB Impact Games

ESPN has announced that it has added several full national MLB Postseason Impact Game telecasts presented by Exxon and Mobil, including three division rivalry games, to its September schedule.

The games are expected to directly impact the 2016 MLB Postseason race. Current MLB standings via ESPN.com.

On Tuesday, Sept. 20, the National League West-leading Los Angeles Dodgers will host their long-time rivals, the second-place San Francisco Giants, at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN2. The Giants are currently the NL Wild Card leader and sit four games back of the Dodgers in the division.

On Friday, Sept. 23, the National League Central-leading Chicago Cubs will host their classic rivals, the second-place St. Louis Cardinals, at 2 p.m. on ESPN. Entering play on Sept. 13, the Cardinals are one-half game behind the New York Mets for the second NL Wild Card spot.

On Thursday, Sept. 29, the American League Central-leading Cleveland Indians will visit the second-place Detroit Tigers at 1 p.m. on ESPN. The Tigers are currently one game behind the Baltimore Orioles for the second AL Wild Card spot.
